Leadership Changes At Advisors Assistant

Advisors Assistant announces the retirement of our founding family, Pat and Carol Dempsey. Since our formation in 1985, the Dempseys have led Advisors Assistant with a strong focus on users’ needs, adapting our products to changing conditions and introducing industry first features. We are grateful for the positive impact the Dempseys have had not only on our firm, but also the lives of countless financial professionals. We wish them the very best in retirement.

In addition, we announce the promotion of Gabriel Cooper to the position of General Manager. Previously the firm’s Director of Business Development, Cooper brings 16 years experience in the financial services industry, with Compliance, Technology, and Practice Management leadership roles at an independent Broker Dealer prior to his tenure with Advisors Assistant. Cooper earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the Missouri University of Science & Technology. He has held the Series 3, 7, 24, 53, and 66 security licenses and is a Registered Corporate Coach (RCC).

Commenting on the transition, Pat Dempsey states, “When Gabriel joined the company, I always had in mind that he would eventually run the company. Not only was he expert in the current FinTech environment, but he had the capacity to look over the horizon and learn emerging technologies. I couldn’t be happier to have Gabriel manage the company.”

Regarding the future, Cooper notes that, “I’m proud to be part of a firm with 31 years experience providing CRM to financial professionals. Over that period, Advisors Assistant has evolved in step with a quickly changing industry. We’ve become a unique mix of the features users need with the look and feel they expect. I’m excited to lead us into the next chapter of the Advisors Assistant story.“
